All living things have an interior life that is carried around with them, an interior "Empire" existing amongst other Empires, which at times bump, smash, miss, and pass each other ad infinitum—all within a minuscule outer shell.

This project attempts to shed light on an existence that is seldom seen, but can be temporarily captured in a frame for post-event consideration. These individual Empires never amalgamate. Individually and in groups they take with them this conglomerate Empire wherever they travel. At times they seem to negate even the possibility of simultaneous existence with other Empires if it weren't for the fact that people and things occupy a shared physical space.

Contained herein is a surface scratch of samples for a project tentatively entitled Empire.
